Canadian Youth Delegate @ the 2021 WBG-IMF Annual Meetings
I am very honoured and excited to announce that I have been selected by the Young Diplomats of Canada as a Delegate for the upcoming 2021 World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund (WBG-IMF) Annual Meetings this October. I will be working with five other delegates to advocate for Canadian youth perspectives at these meetings. Our delegation will be engaging in a lot of exciting work leading up to, during, and after the meetings. Updates on our progress will be posted here.

I contributed to the research and writing of the INTEGRATING SOUTHEAST ASIA’S DIGITAL SECTOR session backgrounder as part of the ABALC 2021 Meeting Booklet. Aside from collaborating in the general research for the backgrounder, I wrote the mini case studies on the Philippines' QBO Innovation Hub and the Gojek-Grab tech firm rivalry in Indonesia (see screenshots below). The Rise of China's Structural Power in Southeast Asia: A Philippine Perspective
This research paper was the final major assignment for my POLI 366 International Political Economy class. In this research paper, I utilized Susan Strange's Four Structures of Power as a theoretical framework to analyze the rise of Chinese influence and power in Southeast Asia. Using my home country (the Philippines) as a case study, I examined how contemporary Chinese foreign policy has led to geopolitical tensions in four structures of power: security, production, finance, and knowledge.
