Canadian Youth Delegate @ the 2021 WBG-IMF Annual Meetings

I am very honoured and excited to announce that I have been selected by the Young Diplomats of Canada as a Delegate for the upcoming 2021 World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund (WBG-IMF) Annual Meetings this October. I will be working with five other delegates to advocate for Canadian youth perspectives at these meetings. Our delegation will be engaging in a lot of exciting work leading up to, during, and after the meetings. Updates on our progress will be posted here.

Our official delegate report has officially been released and can now be found here. Having personally focused on the Digital Policy sessions discussing key GovTech and FinTech issues, my key takeaway, as stated in the report, is that:

"Technology is not just about technical coding skills; building ethical frameworks that regulate tech is equally important in preventing abuse of these technologies."
