This paper was awarded the 2022-2023 Mack Eastman Prize endowed by the United Nations Association. The prize is awarded for the best essay on a problem related to international peace and security or international cooperation in economic or social areas.

This paper was written for POLI 460 Foreign Policy Analysis taught by Dr. Paul Evans. All International Relations majors are required to complete an IR seminar during their final year, which also meets the Faculty of Arts Research Component.
