The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, the Korea AI Ethics Association, and the Humanities Research Institute, Chung-Ang University have collaborated on the report Talent for the Future: AI Education for K-12 in Canada and South Korea, providing an overview of AI education for K-12 students in Canada and South Korea.



Artificial Intelligence in APEC: Progress, Preparedness, and Priorities

This report commissioned by the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) critically analyzes the APEC region’s readiness to capitalize on AI. It considers policy and regulatory frameworks, private sector endeavours, ethics, and cross-border linkages. This report aims to identify the critical features of an enabling environment that would facilitate the development, deployment, and adoption of AI for the purposes of promoting economic growth and integration across the region.



Canadian Youth Delegate @ the 2021 WBG-IMF Annual Meetings

I am very honoured and excited to announce that I have been selected by the Young Diplomats of Canada as a Delegate for the upcoming 2021 World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund (WBG-IMF) Annual Meetings this October. I will be working with five other delegates to advocate for Canadian youth perspectives at these meetings. Our delegation will be engaging in a lot of exciting work leading up to, during, and after the meetings. Updates on our progress will be posted here.



G20 Youth Forum (Y20) Canadian Delegation Focus Groups

I engaged in in-depth discussions with other young Canadian leaders on key policy issues in support of the Y20 delegates. I contributed to policy discussions around two main themes: 1) Digitalization, Innovation, & the Future of Work; and 2) Inclusion & Equal Opportunity.



The Rise of China’s Structural Power in Southeast Asia: A Philippine Perspective

This research paper was the final major assignment for my POLI 366 International Political Economy class. In this research paper, I utilized Susan Strange's Four Structures of Power as a theoretical framework to analyze the rise of Chinese influence and power in Southeast Asia. Using my home country (the Philippines) as a case study, I examined how contemporary Chinese foreign policy has led to geopolitical tensions in four structures of power: security, production, finance, and knowledge.
